If God ask me about the time I want to revisit in my life, I wont think much to answer that I need those glorious 3 years of my MCA life which changed my life, which helped me to get matured, which helped me to grow up in life, which helped me to realise my strength and value and more importantly which gave me a group of friends in the form of classmates, college mates , faculties and Hostel mates who helped me to become what I am now.
I have never lived alone till 2001 and don't know a life outside Trivandrum,my home town, eventhough I have been to some places with family.I had the option of continuing in Trivandrum itself to do my MCA but I decided to go against that (Why should I discard what I got by merit?), and landed in UC College, Alwaye to do my MCA without knowing that its going to change my life to what I dreamt of.
A Hostel life?? Oh man..To tell honestly, was bit scared about many things like ragging, how the hostel mates will be?, How can I stay alone? How the food will be?..You wont believe guys, all these thinking lasted just for 2 weeks and then I realised its going to be a great life ahead for me.I decided, My father has sacrificed a lot in his life to make me What I am, so its time to give him a break and let me start living and make him feel happy. It was not that easy to start with but I promised to myself that I wont ask him a penny extra than what I needed for my studies and hostel fees...There you go.. All set...Let the journey begin.....
Maheshe, I'm sure achan is happy and proud about what you are. We too.
ReplyDeleteGetting monetary support from parents is no big deal. But moral support is. When there is someone who can support you to any degree, without interfering, and trusting you completely, life is different.
Very True man...
ReplyDeleteBut my intention was just to give the happiness back to my father and don't want him to have more burden. I do realised the value of money during that time. What I can do of my own,I just want to do it...
