Rank #712 finally got MCA admission

I dint do well in my MCA entrance, so got a 3 digit rank - 712. I wanted to join MCA because I was bored of learning Statistics. I had already spent 3 years in Bsc, studying that. Now I need a change. But 712 is too big a rank to get into the MCA seats in Kerala. I decided to check out and reached TVM technical education deparment. I went straight upto the concerned officer and asked him. He inturn asked me two questions : "Do you know how many seats are there in Kerala for MCA?". It was some 200 around, less than 200. I told him so. "With this few seats, do you think you would get an admission with such a high rank in hand?". I did not answer, coz I felt a bit insulted. Why not?? Was the question inside me.

In sometime, I had to choose MSc Stat. coz MCA was still a dream as there was no notification from TVM. So I joined MSc. Guys you wont believe, I had attended classes for MSc Stat. for two full months. I had started doing the integrations and differentiations again.

Finally, the notification had come. The government gave sanction for eight colleges to run MCA among which was our UCC. Only formality was left- got a call from TVM, gave choices in which UCC was first, got admission.

And the rest is "our-story"... And you know the rest... Like we say: " happily lived ever after"...

Edaaa... Odedaaa... Train Niruthy... Odedaaaa!!!!!

It was in first semester... We had to reach a place by train... We were five and reached Ernakulam railway station... It was time for the train, but we dint have tickets... Still we ran to the platform... For our utter dismay, the train had already left... We could see it leaving the platform... There is this sharp curve just after the station that trains which go that way slows down and then gains speed... Train slowed down and somebody said -- "Edaaa... Odedaaa... Train Niruthy... Odedaaaa"... and we felt the train has stopped because we chased the train for some distance and somebody saw us and the train stopped for us... ha haaaaaa..... Enthoru nadakkatha swapnam... Still we tried our level best to reach the train.. Oh my god it was an Olympic medal worth sprint!!!!!!

The GIFT from UCC :)

The first thing that comes to my mind...when I think about UCC and the UCCMCAGANG is - GRATITUDE :)

Its from UCC that I have learned, experienced and understood many good things about friendship...that

It gives us a wider perspective, makes us selfless, compassionate, caring and loving,
It always helps us stay a kid at heart, breathes meaning into our existence and makes us a better person...

Which is what I've become through the influence of our friendship...

Thanks a million, my friends ..who have touched my life in many special ways :)

OUR FRIENDSHIP IS THE BEST THING THAT HAPPENED TO ME AT UCC. I FEEL BLESSED BY THE FRIENDSHIP I SHARE WITH YOU ALL.

Unforgettable day in Sem 1

Guys,

Do you remember the day when we were taken to Chacko House and classes were conducted when the teachers strike happened and from Avirah sir's class we were taken out from the BCA department(dont remember that block name)..That was one of the unforgettable days in UCC life.
